Srednja šola Slovenska Bistrica is the only secondary school (high school) in our local community which consists of approximately 30.000 people. Secondary school Slovenska Bistrica’s establishment dates back to 1999. We are located in the NE part of Slovenia. Our students are aged 15-18 and we have three different educational programmes: Grammar School, Secondary school of Economics and Secondary school of Metallurgy. There are 40 teachers and 430 students. We have some students with less privileged families (unemployed parents, migrants). About 15% of our students require classroom accommodations, with approximately half of those requiring help with managing different kinds of social or school related anxiety.
